Frank Sherwin was a British painter in oil and watercolour from Derby.  He was best known for his railway posters promoting travel destinations in the British Isle which are highly desirable, originals can fetch thousands.

He was a member of the RSMA and the RI, he also showed at the RA.  Sherwin was widely reproduced by Frost & Reed Ltd., British Railways and the Medici Society.

Provenance: Private collection

Frame size 12 1/2" x 15 1/4", painting size 7 7/8" x 10 5/8"

Very good condition, shabby chic gilt frame with wear, new professional acid free mount, ready to hang
