Signed (with initials), circa. 1965

Petereit was born in Chicago in 1923 and studied art at the Art Institute of Chicago and then the Julian Academy in Paris after which he had numerous solo exhibitions in Europe and the States. 

He is recorded as living in rue Lepic, Montmartre, Paris. 

This beautifully striking, and rare, etching demonstrates his German Expressionist influences.

Provenance: Private collection

Frame size 16 3/4" x 14 3/4", Plate size 7 3/4" x 5 3/4"

Very good condition, new acid free professional mount, modern wooden gallery frame, ready to hang.
