Superb original Still Life Watercolour painting by the highly acclaimed Victorian painter George Clare.
George was the father of Oliver & Vincent, both of whom were also celebrated artists of the day, all three of the family were known for their highly detailed paintings of fruit and bird nests.
This particular painting is a wonderful example, in excellent condition, of the works of George Clare detailing his 'stipple' type technique that he derived from the paintings of William Henry Hunt (1790-1864), almost 'pre-Raphaelite' in its capture of precise detail.
