Original signed watercolour, circa. 1970

J. S. Goodall was a painter in watercolours of Victorian and Edwardian scenes.  Widely exhibited he was known for his fluid and detailed manner, he is also well known for the illustrations of children's books such as 'Victorians Abroad'.

This particular painting was number 133 in the July 1984 exhibition at the Christopher Wood Gallery (label verso)

Frame size 15 1/2" x 18 1/2", painting size 7" x 10"

Very good condition, framed and glazed in a gilt wood frame, ready to hang
