Mid Century Still Life Oil Painting - Nasturtiums

£265.00
sold out

'Nasturtiums'

Striking and colourful original oil painting on board attributed to Ida Marion Kirkpatrick (1866-1950)

Ida Kirkpatrick studied art at the Royal Female School of Art and also at the Académie Julian in Paris, and was one of two sister artists (Ethel being her sibling)

A regular visitor to St Ives and Polperro Ida used the family address in Harrow on the Hill (The Gables) as their exhibiting address and she was a regular exhibitor between 1888-1935 at the Alpine Club Gallery and with the Society of Women Artists, but also at the RA (6) and elsewhere.

Frame measures 17" x 20", painting measures 12 1/2" x 15 1/2"

In very good condition, original vintage silvered frame (some imperfections noted, a new frame would no doubt further enhance the painting)
